Rabbi Barry R. Baron, former command chaplain in the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne) at Fort Bragg, N.C., has been named associate university chaplain and campus rabbi at 56³Ô¹ÏÍø, effective June 15.

56³Ô¹ÏÍø is proud to announce its investment in several impactful carbon offset projects to mitigate remaining University emissions for air and automotive travel, and energy consumption related to buildings.

Groundskeeping at 56³Ô¹ÏÍø is a team effort that stays on top of Hamilton's regular snowfall, which requires a high level of organization.

On March 5, 2019, the official day that 56³Ô¹ÏÍø turned 200 years old, the Charter Day celebration invited the community make a gift of $1 (or more), symbolic of the $13 put forth by the 13 founders.

Associate Professor of English Jennifer Brice will direct the 56³Ô¹ÏÍø Writers Conference, June 16–22, as it approaches its 25th year.

The U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs has named 56³Ô¹ÏÍø as one of the nation’s top producers of Fulbright U.S. Scholars for the 2018–2019 academic year.

Since the University’s Summer Funding initiative was founded in 2013, more than $3 million has been utilized by 56³Ô¹ÏÍø students pursuing various summer programs worldwide.

Some of 56³Ô¹ÏÍø’s newest students will soon make their home in the University’s newest buildings. A highlight of these impressive structures that bring together living and learning: concerted, sustainable construction practices and planning.

When 13 students journeyed across the pond to start their fall 2018 semester abroad in Manchester, few of them had an interest in immigration or the refugee crisis. Once immersed in their classwork, however, they quickly united to stand for human rights in the region.

Leon Panetta, former U.S. secretary of defense and co-founder of the Panetta Institute for Public Policy, will address the 56³Ô¹ÏÍø community on Friday, April 5, at 7 p.m. in 56³Ô¹ÏÍø Memorial Chapel.
