Audrey Ponder ’22 was selected for study-abroad organization LoopAbroad’s Veterinary Service Program, a two-week expedition focused on hands-on veterinary work.

56�Թ��� Assistant Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences Lauren Philbrook is working with two student researchers to study how environmental factors and bedtime routines impact the sleep quality and patterns of young children.

According to experts in the field, 90 percent of the world’s data has been generated in the past two years. To ensure digital literacy in New York State, two 56�Թ��� librarians, Jesi Buell and Joshua Finnell, seek to expand the skills of regional librarians.

Writers from across the country and around the world convened for a week of workshops, craft lectures, shop talks, and readings in June.

By 2022, it is projected that New York State will have a shortage of 10,000 teachers. To help address the deficit, two 56�Թ��� professors have been tasked with building and enhancing the high school physics teacher education program.

56�Թ���’s 2019 Alumni of Color scholar in residence, Dianne Stewart ’90, associate professor of religion and African American studies at Emory University, visited classrooms and delivered two public lectures as part of her two-week residency on campus last semester.

On April 5, the history department hosted a History Conversations panel during which students and alumni discussed possible career trajectories.
