The Office of the Chaplains is the central hub for religious and spiritual life at 56³Ô¹ÏÍø. For those who are exploring or practicing a faith, or for those who aren’t practicing any faith at all, the Chaplains team, led by the Dean of Memorial Chapel, helps to connect students with over a dozen active student communities representing a wide range of worldviews and traditions. 56³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s student groups include Buddhists, Catholics, Hindus, Jews, Muslims, Orthodox Christians, Protestants, and other Christian groups.
The Chaplains also support students who hold secular worldviews, those practicing other South Asian traditions, and the Sojourners' Gospel Choir for those who want to connect through music. The Office sponsors inclusive programs and oversees spaces designed to meet students spiritual needs, such as Memorial and Judd chapels and dedicated Muslim prayer spaces. The chaplains are committed to interfaith dialogue and helping students deepen their understanding of other religious and spiritual practices during their four years at 56³Ô¹ÏÍø.
Students looking for a regular place to worship, hands-on community service opportunities, and thoughtful discussions about faith, ethics, and meaning will find all of this in the Office of the Chaplains, located in the basement of Memorial Chapel. You can sign up for updates by indicating which religious or spiritual groups you would like to learn more about during your first weeks on campus.
